Privacy Policy.
1. Who we are
Metiks Media is a creative studio offering design, video, UI/UX, digital media, eCommerce and web services. We work remotely with clients around the world. In this policy, "we", "us" and "our" mean Metiks Media.

2. What we collect
When you contact us. Through the contact form or by email we receive your name, email address and anything else you choose to share: phone number, company or brand, budget, the services you are interested in and your project details.
When we work together. During a project we may receive files, brand assets, content, and sometimes logins or access to your accounts (for example a store, website or ad account) so we can do the work.
Your customers' data. Some projects involve data about your own customers, such as email lists or leads. We handle that data only on your instructions and only for your project.
When you join the newsletter. Your email address, and the date you signed up.
We do not ask for sensitive data and ask that you do not send it.
3. How and why we use it
- To reply to your enquiry and prepare a quote. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering messages.
- To deliver the work we agree on. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
- To keep invoices and payment records. Legal basis: legal obligation.
- To send the monthly newsletter, only if you signed up for it. Legal basis: consent, which you can withdraw at any time.
- To keep the website running and secure. Legal basis: legitimate interests.
We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we only add you to our newsletter if you sign up for it yourself. To unsubscribe, reply "unsubscribe" to any newsletter email or write to us.
4. How long we keep it
- Enquiries that don't turn into a project: deleted within 12 months.
- Newsletter: your email is kept until you unsubscribe, then deleted.
- Project files (designs, videos, source files): kept for 3 to 12 months after the project ends, then deleted or archived. We can keep them longer on request, which may involve a fee.
- Logins, passwords and account access: removed and deleted as soon as the project ends.
- Your customers' personal data (emails, phone lists, leads): deleted as soon as it is no longer needed for the work.
- Invoices and payment records: kept for as long as tax law requires, which can be 5 to 10 years.
6. International transfers
We are based outside the UK and the European Economic Area, and some of our providers are too. When personal data from the UK or EEA is transferred to us or our providers, we put in place the safeguards the law requires, such as standard contractual clauses where they apply.
7. Cookies and browser storage
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies and does not track you across other sites.
It stores three small settings in your own browser: your light or dark theme choice, a short-lived flag that plays the page-transition animation, and a performance setting that turns heavy visual effects down on slower devices. None of them is sent to us, and you can clear them at any time in your browser settings.
8. Your rights
If you are in the UK or the EU, you have the right to:
- access the personal data we hold about you;
- have it corrected if it is wrong;
- have it deleted;
- restrict or object to how we use it;
- receive it in a portable format;
- withdraw consent where we rely on consent.
To use any of these rights, email hello@metiksmedia.com. We will reply within one month.
You can also complain to your data protection authority. In the UK that is the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk); in the EU it is the authority in the country where you live or work.
9. Security
We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data, including limiting access to people who need it and removing account access when a project ends. No method of sending or storing data online is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Children
Our services are for businesses and adults. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 16.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
